It's been quite a week at school. the entire week was a slack-fest, the only significant things that happened in school werethe daily chem and maths lectures. Made a few new friends, but very few. Either the school is very big, or the rest of my class seems to be avoiding me. I can't even tell if this or that person was in my CG or not. But with my small band of mates, we manage to pretty much enjoy ourselves.
The highlight of the week was yesterday, when we were having our chem lecture. A real ROFL-worthy day. The lecturer(some indian dude) wanted to use the whiteboard in the LT which was hidden behind the projection screen and tried to raise the screen. He tried fiddling with the controls but the screen got stuck. Then some other teacher went to help, and she managed to un-stick it but for some reason she started lowering it. It got lower and lower and loooweeerrrrrr. Then then it detached. They tried fixing it back, but it was a sloppy job. End result:
It was quie hilarious watching them fussing over the thing, I was thinking of taking a video of it but teachers were watching...
So, it's the end of the week. Time to hang up my VS uniform for the last time and wear that Green THING for 2 years. Ah well. All good things must end sometime.
Also, I found this on the net today.
Here's part 2.
Don't ask.

A botched plan
Okay, school was okay today. Not many lessons, and i had a tremendously fun time at Guitar Ensemble, where the J1s had trials to gauge their skill and stuff. I scored full marks for everything except recognition of pitch :/
Then I immediately went home to change and went out again to Plaza Sing to meet my former SR CG classmates. Waited at Fish&co. for about an hour. Gave up. Waited at Swensen's for half hour. Gave up. Kimberly left and we ended up eating at Macs instead. Seriously screwed up outing. I don't really wanna talk about it at the moment, I'm seriously dog-tired. But we will definately try again some other time, hopefully it will be succesful.

Aerodynamic
I've just realised how addictive "Aerodynamic" by Daft Punk is. I've been playing it over and over and over again since 2pm. THE CATCHY TUNE. IT FEEDS UPON MY BRAINWAVES!!!!!111 Theres this lovely electric guitar segment that makes me feel so uppity. I can't believe that some pople haven't even HEARD of Daft Punk. They should really come out of their little hole in the ground and LISTEN.
Got some ice cream from Ice Cream Chefs today. Hershey's chocolate with Famous Amos mixed in. heavenly.
Then I spent the whole friggen afternoon doing Chem homework. Worked until 9 before I went to try out that guitar thingie from Aerodynamic on the piano. It's gonna sound so cool once I master it. Not in that rock-ish kind of way but in that classical-ish kind of way.
My mum told me that we're going back to Australia for the March hols. Anything you guys want me to get for you, just give me a holler.

In the Valley of Elah
Yesterday, I went mugging with Hong Aik. Yes, mugging. Whenever I'm at home and have nothing to do, I get this sudden urge to take out my notes and revise. We went to Burger King to mug. You should see how many of our kind there are. 3/4 of the chairs and tables were taken up by muggers. We stayed there for about 5 hours then went to Aston's for dinner. 2 very filling dinners+2 ice lemon teas =16 dollars exactly, including gst. We should go there more often. Just as I finish typing this, a tremor occurs. Prolly some earthquake at sumatra or something like that. Curiously, I was thinking of skyscrapers wobbling around at the time. But enough of this weirdness.
Went to get me some new contact lenses today. The last time I wore contacts was like 5 years ago. There was a nasty incident which resulted in an ulcer on my left eye but i'm ready to give it a go again.
Just came back from a screening of "In the Valley of Elah" at Tanglin Club. It was a pretty good movie, one of those thinking types where you gotta link different events together to form a clear picture or it will just sound nonsensical. I realised that it was M-18 after watching the movie. That explains some of the scenes. But still, it was pretty good.
I like my new hair. It's basically a crew cut, short and simple. and cool.

HOT
3rd day of oriendation at TPJC. Wet games today! Hurrah! not. I am currently feeling very dirty, even after a 15 minute shower. We rolled around in egg yolk, ketchup, chilli sauce and wet dough, a very unpleasant experience unless you happen to like that sort of thing. I got covered the most, probably because of the excessive surface area created by my height. And the running track is HOT. VERY HOT. It's like HOLDING YOUR DAMN FOOT OVER A DAMN OPEN FLAME. Now I know how eggs feelwhen they're being fried. If eggs were living things, the only thing that would be on their minds would probably be " Oh no", before they suffer a slow, sizzling death and be ingested by some obese american. Speaking of sizzling, my OG mates' feet were making sizzling noises. seriously.
The food at TP is quite varied, you get quite a lot of choices to choose from, but the food doesn't necessarily taste good. But hey, it's pretty cheap, 2.50 for a japanese set meal.
Signed up for CCAs after that. I think i'll check out Guitar ensemble and Air-rifle. Always wanted to join Air-rifle but I wasn't good enough. Tried out a few shots.
I missed a shot. ended up on the card of the guy next to me lol

WIN HOR? OK!
As the cliched saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining.
I felt the second day of orientation was much better than the first. Maybe it was because of the greatly reduced duration of time spent on talks, maybe it was because of the presence of those Malay guys who were so funny and lame. Makes me think of all those dudes back at VS.Today, there was only 1 hour of talks, followed by "the game of life"(lol), some Amazing Race-styled around-the-school-playing-games thing.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed myself tremendously, probably because I've settled down to the fact that I ain't going anywhere, and i might as well enjoy myself whenever posible. Was friggen tired after that and decided to skip mass dance and choir auditions. Yes, choir auditions, you read correctly.
Oh yea, almost forgot. They gave out free milk lol. And I got the orientation package, which included a shirt, shoebag and towel. Cost 15.50 tho.
As i reached home, got a call from Val saying that she was crashing TP. sigh. Hope you had fun Val!

doomed
Aight. First day of orientation at TPJC. My future looks bleak. Upon arriving at TPJC, student councillors sarted corraling JAE people into the hall. Going to the hall is something like descending into Dante's hell, a (sortof) ring of steps leading downwards into this funky looking building which is apparently the hall.
There wewhispered sang the National anthem and stuff and they played the school song. I assumed that the hall wasn't air-conditioned cos it didn't appear to have any doors or anything and prepared myself for a very hot orientation. That was when they started lowering the shutters over the doorways. I was like OMGWTFBBQ FRIGGEN LET ME OUT, MAN! Then I heard the sound of the AC and settled down again. My OG consists of a bunch of really weird people, with a Boy/girl ratio of 3:1. Met a nice guy from Coral Sec who failed to enter NY as well, and sortof got acquainted. The rest of the guys? Bunch of rowdy bastards, especially that guy from St. Pats. Friggen wouldn't close his mouth and spouting profanities all the way. The girls were quiet and kept to themselves.
The principal is super-weird as well. Kept repeating what she said and emphasizing her point over and over and over again. "You will have fun because WE ARE A HAPPI FAMILY! You will have fun because WE HAVE GREAT AND CARING TEACHERS. YOU WILL HAVE FUN BECAUSE YOUR PEERS ARE VERY HELPFUL!" right... spread your propaganda in a less obvious fashion please. Then she broke into song for some reason and sang off-tune.
Then we had some icebreaker games that weren't very ice-breaking and did some cheers, some of which were pretty lame-o.
and then sat through about 3 hours of subject talks and shit like that.
At 1 pm, left school early, said I had to appeal to other JCs. Went to Ashpenn's place instead to play Half-life 2 on the 360. I just recieved an SMS from that NY AEP teacher, sayng that she would not exercise my appeal for arts. I think I'm well and thoroughly screwed.
Really miss you 1S20 guys. My mum refuses to allow me to return to SR, so i'm stuck in TP.
Wherever I go, I keep thinking Kimberly and Joanna when I see CHIJ girls and spotted a few Nicole lookalikes. That guy in a yellow shirt wasn't Robin, and most of the guys were wearing White shirts and blue pants.
Here's hoping I get some good classmates and good teachers. Only a miracle can save me now.

such a pity...
I hate MOE. Give us a month or so to make a few new friends, then suddenly take them all away. Wth. Today, the last official day spent with 1S20, we planned it well. Sortof. We were going to have brunch after school for the last time together at Kovan Mcdonald's, the place where we had our first outing together. Then, we would go to Sentosa and have the time of our lives for the last time together then have dinner for the last time together and finlly go home...for the last time together.
Unfortunately, since I got posted to TPJC, I immediately sought the help of my AEP teacher to help me enter NY, and was rudely interrupted in the middle of our brunch, to go to NY on the same day to do a practical and theory test. Showed the teacher the best stuff I had, Did the tests the best that I could and hurried off to Sentosa.
Played Beach volleyball for the first time, t'was fun but my aim sorta sucks really bad. Almost had to wade into the ocean once to fetch the ball. Then as quickly as it began, it started to grow dark so we went to Carl's Jr at Vivo for dinner. Finally, one by one, we left the MRT train, with Nicole crying with every departure. Cheer up! It's not the end!
Really hope to see you guys again soon! It will never be the same without all you weird and interesting characters being at loggerheads with each other. But for the while, Au Revoir!

The final countdown
1 day till I will probably never see my 1S20 chums again.
1/2 day till the JAE posing results are released
2 hours till bedtime
Today. Boring, dull, uneventful, boring. Way to spend the 2nd last day together with 1S20. I WANTED to bring my laptop but it just couldn't fit in. So, end result:
Tomorrow, a day of uncertainty! What will we do? Where will we go? Bring money and change of clothes!

omg you hax
Back from a really fun yet exhausting day at Val's place. I have no idea why i'm so tired. Maybe it was the pushups, maybe it was Gabriel's alcoholic atomic breath or maybe I was just plain tired, but whatever.
It was FUN today. Met up with Nick Yoong and Kim then sortof walked in circles around Eastlink mall. They have counters above doorways to count the number of people passing through. Weird huh?
Then we met up with nicole and co. and made our way to Val's place. Very nice place, CNY decorations everywhere. We had hot plate and steamboat, tho i mostly used the hotplate. Buttered chicken=yummy. Clifford seems to have a fetish for vibrating egg tofu. Weird guy.
Ate alot, became damn full, then we sat down and played card games. I took an interest in Clifford's guitar, and indirectly caused the breakage of his 6th string. Whoops lol. Made a trip to Eatlink to buy a replacement. Speaking of guitars, I should be buying one for my B'day, hopefully a good one under 100 bux.
Back on topic, we started playing "Cheat", that classic game that I used to be so good at. But it looks like i've lost all my m4d sk1llz, resulting in me accumulating close to the whole deck. meh.
Oh yea, Gabriel drank a whole bottle of Bacardi, making him very very drunk. Very unwise.
Then we debated whether or not to pon school tomorrow and go to Sentosa instead. Kim insisted that we go to the zoo. Meh, in the end we decided on just going back to school. I might bring my laptop...

Esprit de Corps
Here's a nice little poem for the people of 1S20:
As we part our separate ways,
I begin to remember the days;
That we spent in SRJC"wasting time" in the SAC.
Though not everyone is so tall,
Yall give me a feeling of Esprit de Corps.
Thanks for all the help and fun times,
Though it has cost me quite a few dimes. (lol)
Even if we do not meet again,
Do not despair, do not be pained.
Cos guys and gals of 1S20,
I will really miss you plenty!

Audiosurf
I found this pretty neat game called audiosurf. Its a mix between Guitar-hero styled rhythm games and tetris. Weird huh. Just watch this:
Anyway, ponned H1 Maths tutorial today. Hurrah! Went to Pizza hut to eat instead lol.
While I was walking home from Kembangan MRT, I was feeling particularly observant and noticed a white miratory bird in the canal, so i took a picture of it, and some other random stuff too, just for fun.
Ok whatever. Going out with Ashpenn and Ben tomorrow to watch Jumper, it should be cool, then on Sunday gonna join 1S20 at Val's for steamboat, possibly one of the few last times that I'll be with them. so sad. Ah well. Au Revoir!

Food Glorious food!
Today for dinner I went to Big Fish with my dad, which is this upper-class restaraunt that specialises in Fish n' chips and seafood and whatnot. There happened to be a set meal available, I chose rack of lamb:
Which was pretty damned yummy. It came with Soup of the day(corn soup, REALLY GOOD) and tea. I got a peach cocktail thing to go with it. A very good dinner indeed. 30 bucks for 2 ppl tho. Sorry, no other pics. People were staring lol. The food there is really worth a try, if you've got the money and just HAPPEN to be in the vicinity of East Coast Road. 5 stars.

Money is meant to be spent
Went to TM straight(well not really STRAIGHT) after school today with Clifford and Nicole, to buy some goodies for v'day and to grab some dinner. Total cost spent for the day:$54.40. Not a sum to shake a stick at, even if you wanted to. At least I had fun. Now to Econs!

Back to school! Whoopeedoo!
Amazing how time flies when you're having fun huh? Hum. Yes indeed. It's back to school with you, laddie. Same boring stuff at school today, but we played Soccer instead of Tennis for PE. Was pretty fun, though i couldn't seem to catch the ball with my long limbs as goalkeeper. Ah well.
Then we went for dinner at Thai Express, Heartland Mall. Whoo, that place is crappy. Every few seconds, theres this BBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTT sound ripping through the air and vibrating my chair. We thought it was some overpowered phone at first, then we found out that the culprit was the Sakae Sushi next door. Apparently whenever customers press the button for hot water, theres that damn sound. But that's bearable.
Then we checked out the menu. Whoa. I think eating at Swensens would have been wayyy cheaper. 9.90 for a dish for 2? Meh. 3.50 for a coke? you gotta be kidding me.But we went for it anyway. Food tasted alright, but the portion was this small.
I have yet to decide what to buy for valentines'. I foresee a very light wallet in the near future. Good night.

...
I just had the weirdest dream last night. Not really sure if it was a nightmare or anything. I dreamed that I was having some sort of lesson back at Victoria School, having some lessons in some air-conditioned room. The funny thing was, my SRJC mates were with me, girls included. I was like OMGWTFBQHAXZORZLOL. Since when did VS become a mixed school? Then I asked for permission to go to the toilet from some faceless teacher but instead of going to the loo, I started walking around the entire school. Maybe my dream-self is naughty or something . Apparently, the classrooms were all completely air-conditioned, even the corridors were air-conditioned. Now that i think of it, the entire school was air-conditioned, save for one mysterious room on the fourth floor i think. It was impossibly huge, with a carpeted floor and a single LCD tv sitting in the middle of it. It didn't turn on though. The room had a damn huge balcony as well and for some reason, all I saw were sand dunes from the balcony, stretching on forever it seemed. Then I exited and woke up.
very curious. I must be going mad.

YARR PARROT
The 3rd day of Chinese New Year, not very eventful as well. Spent the morning playing Pirates, Vikings and Knights 2. Hilarious shit. If you've got half-life 2, check it out! http://www.pvkii.com/. Then read more bullcrap at cracked.com. Check this out:http://www.cracked.com/article_15816_5-most-horrifying-bugs-in-world.html. If you like that stuff, check out the other articles. Some of them contain mature content and stuff, you have been warned. They're written by Americans after all.
Then Ashpenn came over, bought a Mcspicy meal for me for lunch. Such a nice guy. Played Halo 3 most of the day, finally got out of Valhalla, and figured out how it feels like if the Earth's gravity was halved, and could run three times the speed of an olympic athlete over a minefield. 'Tis fun. Then we played Forza Motorsport 2, which i thought was retarded at first cos the handling of the cars is almost non-existent. But we sorta figured it out in the end. Sortof. and played some 7 km track, 3 laps. The game lasted 15 minutes lol. Right now, I'm eating dinner, reading up on French expressions AND writing tis post at the same time. Ha. Who says guys can't multitask?

"prosperity drinks"
My mum found a can of tonic water hidden in the bowels of the fridge and whipped these up. The red one was made with grenadine syrup, I have no idea whats in the blue one. Tastes surprisingly good!

The second day of CNY. Everyone else has gone out to freeload off visit relatives and other people while I stay home the whole day and rot relax. Spent the morning doing research for GP debate. I'm supposed to be supporting how women make better leaders than men. I hope I lose. :p
Then downloaded sheet music for "I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith and tried to play. Damn simple so i lost interest quickly afterwards. Reverted to Boston. Still stuck at the same part, & one of the D keys is out of tune.
Tried looking for the newspaper but couldn't fnd it. Must be cos its a public holiday. LAZY BASTARDS! Then I went to grind up some radish and carrots for Yu Sheng again. Fun. Tasty. Smoked Salmon. mm.
Who wants to come over tomorrow? lol

What do normal chinese folks do on the first day of Chinese New Year? I'm assuming you guys go about Singapore to the homes of relatives and friends to demand "phree moneh" from them.
Too bad I don't have relatives in Singapore to demand "phree moneh" from, but at least i still got $100 from my parents. It came in some furry hongbao. Very nice to touch.mm. I think im gonna keep the packet.
Anyways, spent the entire morning and early afernoon making this blog and finding materials for the design. You like it?
Then we went aaaaaaaaaallll the way to some temple in Bishan so my mum can pray for good luck and stuff. We're supposedly freethinkers but going to that temple seems to have become a ritual.
Guess where we went after that? Sungei Buloh Nature reserve. Cool right? I got to stroll around mosquito-infested swamps while you guys harvested "phree moneh". Ah well, at least i got a cool pic of a monitor lizard pretty up close.
I like Yu Shen. It comes with smoked salmon. tasty.
Got nothing to do tomorrow, might go to play tennis or sommat like that
